Someone on the Life.Church team asked, “How could new technologies change the way we engage with the Bible today?” Then he found youversion.com and bought it on the spot. The online Bible site didn’t take off. But we didn’t stop. When the App Store launched in 2008, we made a pivot. YouVersion became one of the first 200 apps available. By the end of that weekend, 83,000 people had downloaded the Bible App. Life.Church launches in a garage. Seven people give their lives to Christ that weekend. Our Family of Apps helps people experience God’s word every day, no matter who they are or where they live. It’s all free. No ads. No upsells. Just Scripture, accessible to everyone, everywhere. Our Regional Hubs are physical offices staffed by local teams who work directly with churches, ministries, and content creators in their region.
