700 years before the events of Ys I & II, the land of Ys was on the brink of destruction. Demons came in droves and forced the twin Goddesses who ruled the land to whisk their subjects away from the surface, into the safe embrace of the clouds. Ys Origin (イース・オリジン Īsu Orijin?) è un videogioco di ruolo giapponese pubblicato nel 2006 per Microsoft Windows dalla Nihon Falcom Corporation. Nel 2012 la XSEED Games ha pubblicato la versione inglese tramite la piattaforma Steam. È il settimo gioco della serie di Ys, ma in quanto prequel, è il primo nei termini della cronologia. È il primo gioco della serie in cui il protagonista non è Adol Christin.
