Zarza la Mayor is a municipality located in the province of Cáceres, Extremadura, Spain. According to the 2018 census (INE), the municipality has a population of 1,258 inhabitants. This is the most occidental municipality in "Las Vegas de Alagón" region. It is the only municipality in the region that borders with Portugal.
