== Concept == The town of Wemding dates back to the year AD 793 (during the reign of Charlemagne as King of the Franks) and celebrated its 1,200th anniversary in 1993. The Zeitpyramide was conceived by Manfred Laber (a local artist) in June 1993 to mark this 1,200-year period and to give people a sense of what the span of 1,200 years really means.
