There are 16 city bus routes and fixed-route taxis in Balashikha. Suburban routes connect Balashikha with the nearest metro stations and with the cities of Zheleznodorozhny and Reutov. Transit suburban routes follow from Moscow to settlements in neighboring districts of the Moscow region.
Former estate of the Golitsyn princes, Pekhra-Yakovlevskoe, on the left bank of Pekhorka. In Soviet times, various higher educational institutions were located on the territory of the estate. Pehra-Yakovlevskoe is a monument of federal significance and is protected by the state. thumb|Gorenki Gorenki is another old estate, on the southern side of Entuziastov highway, on the left bank of the Gorenki river. It has a cascade of seven ponds formed during the construction of the estate (three survived) with islands and bridges. In the second half of the 18th - early 19th centuries, the estate belonged to the family of the Razumovsky counts. Under Alexei Kirillovich Razumovsky, the largest botanical garden in Russia was built in Gorenki. The estate houses the Moscow regional sanatorium of extrapulmonary forms of tuberculosis "Red Rose".
