Glycin, or N-(4-hydroxyphenyl)glycine, is N-substituted p-aminophenol. It is a photographic developing agent used in classic black-and-white photography. It is not identical to, but derived from glycine, the proteinogenic amino acid. It is typically characterized as thin plates of white or silvery powder, although aged samples appear brown, as is typical for aminophenols. It is sparingly soluble in water and most organic solvents; it is readily soluble in alkalies and acids.

Tolrestat (INN; AY-27773) is an aldose reductase inhibitor which was approved for the control of certain diabetic complications.

Omidenepag, sold under the brand name Eybelis among others, is a medication used for the treatment of glaucoma and ocular hypertension.

Vadadustat, sold under the brand name Vafseo, is a medication used for the treatment of symptomatic anemia associated with chronic kidney disease. Vadadustat is a hypoxia-inducible factor prolyl hydroxylase inhibitor.

Roxadustat, sold under the brand name Evrenzo, is an anti-anemia medication. Roxadustat is a HIF prolyl-hydroxylase inhibitor that increases endogenous production of erythropoietin and stimulates production of hemoglobin and red blood cells. It was investigated in clinical trials for the treatment of anemia caused by chronic kidney disease. It is taken by mouth. The drug was developed by FibroGen, in partnership with AstraZeneca.
