It is used in the study of 5-HT1B receptors in the brain, particularly their role in modulating the release of other neurotransmitters. It produces antiaggressive effects in rodents.
pradofloxacin
Pradofloxacin, sold under the brand name Veraflox among others, is a third-generation enhanced spectrum veterinary antibiotic of the fluoroquinolone class. It was developed by Elanco Animal Health GmbH and received approval from the European Commission in April 2011, for prescription-only use in veterinary medicine for the treatment of bacterial infections in dogs and cats.
WAY-208466
WAY-208466 is a potent and highly selective full agonist of the 5-HT6 receptor. It increases GABA levels in the cerebral cortex and tolerance does not appear to occur to this action upon chronic administration. Animal studies have shown that WAY-208466 produces antidepressant and anxiolytic effects in rodents and it may also be useful in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder.
