Akio Yashiro (矢代秋雄 Yashiro Akio) (Tokyo, 10 september 1929 - Yokohama, 9 april 1976) was a Japanese composer. He was a friend of the writer Yukio Mishima and the composer Toshiro Mayuzumi. He studied at the Paris Conservatoire under Nadia Boulanger and Olivier Messiaen.
