Akmal Shaikh was a British national who was convicted and executed in China for drug trafficking. He suffered from mental illness and was tricked into transporting 4 kg (9 lb) of heroin. Shaikh was the first national of an EU country to be executed in China in over 50 years. Shaikh wrote a song Come Little Rabbit. He believed this song would make him a pop star and bring peace to the world. It was recorded with the help of two British musicians, Paul Newberry and Gareth Saunders. <a href="https
