Alexander Gode

Alexander Gode was a male linguist, translator, and writer born in Bremen in 1906. He held citizenship in the German Reich and the United States. His professional career included roles at Columbia University and the University of Chicago. He received his education at Columbia University, the University of Vienna, and the University of Paris.

Gode worked in the field of interlinguistics and authored fourteen works. His notable publications include *Interlingua-English*, *On the origin of language*, *Anthology of German poetry through the 19th century, in English translations with the German originals*, *Dece contos*, and *Discussiones de interlingua*. He died in Mount Kisco on August 10, 1970.
