Alexander Kuoppala was born the 11th April, 1974 in Espoo. He picked up the guitar at the age of 10, playing blues and jazz, but went over to heavy metal later. He knew Jaska Raatikainen (drummer of Children of Bodom) from the local big band. He was invited to join IneartheD (now Children of Bodom) in 1995 as a rythm guitarist and accepted. He played with Children of Bodom from 1995 to 2003, when he decided to quit the band because he wanted to start a family. <a href="https://www.last.fm/music/
