Alpha Pegasi (α Pegasi, abbreviated Alpha Peg, α Peg), formally named Markab /ˈmɑːrkæb/, is the third-brightest star in the constellation of Pegasus and one of the four stars in the asterism known as the Great Square of Pegasus.
