Anderlecht (/ɑ̃.dœʁ.lɛkt/) est l'une des 581 communes de Belgique et une des 19 communes bilingues de la Région de Bruxelles-Capitale. Le 1er décembre 2019, elle comptait 121 019 habitants (7e commune la plus peuplée de Belgique) (60 384 hommes et 60 635 femmes), appelés Anderlechtois en français et Anderlechtenaars en néerlandais, pour une superficie de 17,74 km2 soit une densité de 6 821,82 hab./km2. Elle est située dans le sud-ouest de l'agglomération bruxelloise et limitrophe des communes de Bruxelles-ville, Dilbeek, Drogenbos, Forest, Molenbeek-Saint-Jean, Leeuw-Saint-Pierre et Saint-Gilles.
