Anthrax est un groupe américain de thrash metal, originaire de New York. Formé en 1981 par les guitaristes Scott Ian et Danny Lilker, le groupe recense, en 2014, dix albums studio, vingt singles, et un EP avec Public Enemy. Le groupe est l'un des plus populaires de la scène thrash metal des années 1980. Contribuant à l'émergence du thrash metal au milieu et à la fin des années 1980, Anthrax fait partie du « Big Four of Thrash » aux côtés de Metallica, Megadeth et Slayer.
