Askja é a maior cratera da caldeira vulcânica de , na Islândia. Fica a 32 km a norte de Vatnajökull, o maior campo de gelo islandês. As suas escabrosas cimeiras, acima dos 1.510 metros, rodeiam um lago de 11 km² que está na concavidade. O vulcão teve uma erupção em 1875 e outra em 1961.
