Atlacomulco
Atlacomulco is one of 125 municipalities in the State of Mexico located in the northwest of the State of Mexico in central Mexico, from the state capital of Toluca. The municipal seat is the city of Atlacomulco de Fabela. The name is derived from the Nahuatl phrase "atlacomulli" which means "where there are wells." The city, with a population of 109,384 is surrounded by rural area in which 75% of the rest of the municipality lives. The municipality has a sizable percentage of indigenous language speakers, mostly Mazahua. The Mazahua name for the area is Embaró, which means "colored rock." Agri

Atlacomulco är en kommun i Mexiko. Den ligger i västra delen av delstaten Mexiko och cirka 90 km nordväst om huvudstaden Mexico City. Den administrativa huvudorten i kommunen Atlacomulco är Atlacomulco de Fabela, med 22 774 invånare år 2010. Kommunen hade sammanlagt 93 718 invånare vid folkräkningen 2010. Kommunens area är 257,89 kvadratkilometer. Atlacomulco tillhör regionen Atlacomulco. Isidro Fabela, en välkänd mexikansk politiker under den mexikanska revolutionstiden och Enrique Peña Nieto, Mexikos president år 2012–2018, kommer från Atlacomulco. Floden rinner genom kommunen. I kommunen finns även den aktiva vulkanen Xocotépetl.
