Australopithecus
Sign in to savegénero extinto de antepassados humanos (Hominidae)
Australopithecus is a genus of early human ancestors that lived in Africa millions of years ago during the Pliocene and Early Pleistocene periods, and it matters because modern humans and other related genera evolved from some of its species. Understanding these ancient hominins helps us trace the evolutionary path of humanity and learn how our ancestors developed over time.
