Muhammad Ayub Khan

Muhammad Ayub Khan (1907–1974) was a Pakistani politician, military personnel, financier, and autobiographer. Born in Haripur, he served as President of Pakistan, Prime Minister of Pakistan, and Federal Minister for Defence. A member of the Pakistan Muslim League, he held the rank of Field Marshal in the British Indian Army and participated in World War II. His education included studies at Aligarh Muslim University, Royal Military College, Sandhurst, and the Command and Staff College.

Khan received several honors, including the Member of the Order of the British Empire, Royal Victorian Chain, Order of Ojaswi Rajanya, and Grand Cross of the Order of Excellence. He died in Rawalpindi from cardiac arrest. His written works include *The Constitution, Speeches and statements*, *Erinnerungen und Bekenntnisse*, *Economic development in East Pakistan*, and *President Ayub--Pakistan's domestic and foreign policies*.
