Before the world knew him as Cheems, he was simply Balltze—our little Shiba Inu with gentle eyes and a soft, fluffy face. On August 18, 2023, Balltze quietly fell asleep after complications from thoracentesis. I believe somewhere beyond what we can see, he is still running freely—light, happy, and at peace. The love people felt for Cheems never really disappeared. It simply changed form.

==Biography== Balltze was born on 9 January 2011. He was adopted at the age of one from an emigrating friend, by fashion designer Kathy from Kowloon. Kathy's brother named him after Ramune, a Japanese beverage in which a marble ball inside the bottle is pressed down to let the drink flow. He was known as Ball Ball by his owners.
