Bankenviertel

Bankenviertel (; banking quarter) is the name of the central business district in Frankfurt, Germany where many banks, insurance companies, law firms, and other financial institutions are located. It is the most important German financial hub, if not one of the largest in Europe along with La Défense in the Paris aire urbaine and London's City and Canary Wharf.

Bankenviertel (pol. Dzielnica bankowa) – to obszar bankowo-finansowy w centrum Frankfurtu nad Menem. Obszar ten nie jest formalnie dzielnicą miasta, ale nazwa ta jest powszechnie używana do ogólnego opisu obszaru biznesowego w centrum miasta, z siedzibami wielu niemieckich banków, w tym czterech największych w kraju (Deutsche Bank, Commerzbank, Dresdner Bank i DZ Bank), jak również przedstawicielstw wielu zagranicznych instytucji finansowych, m.in.: Credit Suisse, Société Générale czy JP Morgan Chase. Mieści się tu także dawna siedziba Europejskiego Banku Centralnego w wieżowcu Eurotower. W sumie na obszarze centrum swoją siedzibę ma ponad 300 krajowych i międzynarodowych banków. Na obszarze tym znajduje się też większość frankfurckich wieżowców.
