بازل (بالألمانية: Basel) أو بال (بالفرنسية: Bâle )‏ أو بازيليا (بالإيطالية: Basilea)‏ أو بَزْلَة ثالث مدن سويسرا سكانا بعد زيورخ وجنيف، تقع على حدود ثلاث دول على نهر الراين في شمالي غربي البلاد. ويلاصق كانتون مدينة بازل حدود الألمانية والفرنسية. تعتز مدينة بازل بتقاليدها وثقافتها العريقة، وانفتاحها الحضاري، وتعد بازل أحد أهم مراكز الفن والموسيقى وفن الهندسة المعمارية والصناعية الكبرى للمادة الكيميائية وصناعة الأدوية في سويسرا، وذلك بفضل موقعها المركزي عند نقطة التقاء الحدود السويسرية الألمانية والفرنسية بمحاذاة نهر الراين، كما تعدّ هذه المدينة من المراكز الهامة لاستضافة المعارض والمؤتمرات. وتضم عددا كبيرا من المسارح والعديد من المتاحف ، بما في ذلك متحف الفنون الجميلة . اللغة الرسمية في اقليم بازل هي الألمانية . لبازل أقدم جامعة تعليمية في سويسرا (1460)، كما أنها تعد مركزا مهما للصناعات الكيميائية والصيدلانية.
