5.0It's three years after the events of the original Battle Royale, and Shuya Nanahara is now an internationally-known terrorist determined to bring down the government. His terrorist group, Wild Seven, stages an attack that levels several buildings in Tokyo on Christmas Day, killing 8000 people. In order for the government to study the benefits of "teamwork", the new students work in pairs, with their collars electronically linked so that if one of them is killed, the other dies as well. They must kill Nanahara in three days - or die.

Battle Royale II: Réquiem (バトル・ロワイアルＩＩ 【鎮魂歌】 ''Battle Royale II: Réquiem''?) es la secuela de la película japonesa de acción distópica Battle Royale. Codirigida en 2003 por Kinji Fukasaku y la historia se desarrolla tres años después de que los personajes Nanahara y Noriko escaparan del juego propuesto en la primera película. La cinta obtuvo una nominación, en los premios de la Academia Japonesa de Cine para Tatsuya Fujiwara como mejor actor, y 2 galardones en el Festival de Mainichi en las categorías de guion y dirección artística.
