Hadar eller Beta Centauri (β Centauri, förkortat Beta Cen, β Cen) som är stjärnans Bayerbeteckning, är en trippelstjärna belägen i den sydöstra delen av stjärnbilden Kentauren. Den har en skenbar magnitud på 0,61, är den näst ljusaste stjärnan i stjärnbilden, den tionde ljusaste på natthimlen och är klart synlig för blotta ögat. Baserat på parallaxmätning inom Hipparcosuppdraget på ca 8,3 mas, beräknas den befinna sig på ett avstånd på ca 390 ljusår (ca 120 parsek) från solen.
