część ciała człowieka
The buttocks are two rounded portions of the exterior anatomy located on the posterior of the pelvic region between the lower back and the perineum, composed of skin, subcutaneous fat, and underlying gluteus maximus and gluteus medius muscles. They are important because the gluteus maximus muscles—the largest muscles in the human body—are responsible for key movements like straightening the body into an upright standing posture and maintaining that upright position.

Od dołu graniczy on z okolicą udową tylną (łac. regio femoralis posterior), a w najniższym (bocznym) punkcie z okolicą udową boczną (łac. regio femoralis lateralis). Między prawym a lewym pośladkiem znajduje się u góry okolica krzyżowa (łac. regio sacralis) a pod nią okolica odbytowa (łac. regio analis). Pośladki stanowią jedną ze stref erogennych. Z reguły są symetryczne.
