Célia Benelli Campello (June 18, 1942 in São Paulo, Brazil - March 4, 2003 in Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil), better known as Celly Campello, was a Brazilian singer, songwriter, actress, and multi-instrumentalist, considered the precursor of rock music in Brazil, popularizing twist dancing in the country. Campello started her career early: she danced Tico-Tico no Fubá at the age of five in a children's show. At the age of six, she sang at Rádio Cacique in Taubaté, where she spent her childhood. <
