كوكبة قيطس (باللاتينية: Cetus) هي من كوكبات نصفي الكرة السماوية الشمالية والجنوبية. ويعتبر برج قيطس برجاً كبيراً، ويحتل 50 درجة طولاً و20 درجة عرضاً في السماء؛ وعلى الرغم من أنه لا يوجد به نجوم ألمع من المقدار الثاني، إلا أن هناك واحداً فقط هو بالمقدار الثاني. من المجرات النجمية الموجودة في برج قيطس: M 77, NGC 247, NGC 1068, IC 1613. وأما السدم: NGC 246. وأما أهم النجوم الموجودة في برج قيطس فهي: ألفا قيطس ( النجم منقار)، وبيتا قيطس ( النجم ذنب قيطوس)، وغاما قيطس ( نجم الكف الجيدهمة)، وزيتا قيطس ( النجم بطن قيطوس)، وإيتا قيطس ( النجم ذنب الجنوبي)، وإيوتا قيطس ( النجم ذنب قيطوس الشمالي)، ولمبدا قيطس ( النجم منقار 2)، وأوميكرون قيطس ( النجم ميرا).
