سبتة هي مدينة مغربية تحت السيادة الإسبانية ذاتية الحكم تقع على القارة الأفريقية ويعتبرها المغرب مدينة محتلة ولا يزال يطالب باسترجاعها، تقع مقابل لمضيق جبل طارق، تحدها من الشمال والجنوب والشرق البحر الأبيض المتوسط. يبلغ عدد سكان سبتة 82.376 نسمة (وفقاً لإحصائيات التعداد السكاني المؤرخ 1 يناير 2011)، وتبلغ مساحتها 19 كم مربع (معدل الكثافة السكانية 4.240,52 نسمة/كم²). يتألف سكانها من المسيحيين والمسلمين، مع وجود أقلية يهودية وهندوسية. وقد أصبحت المنطقة منذ عام 1995 تتمتع بصيغة الحكم الذاتي داخل إسبانيا بقرار البرلمان الإسباني عام 1995. في أقصى طرف المدينة تمتد شبه جزيرة ألمينة، وتضم أراضيها جزيرة سانتا كاتالينا.
