Cloverfield is a 2008 American found footage monster film directed by Matt Reeves and written by Drew Goddard. It stars Lizzy Caplan, Jessica Lucas, T.J. Miller (in his film debut), Michael Stahl-David, Mike Vogel, and Odette Yustman. In the film, six friends attempt to flee from a monster that attacks New York City.

Paramount Pictures проводила вирусный маркетинг, чтобы вызвать интерес к фильму. Премьера в России состоялась 17 января 2008 года, в США — 18 января. Фильм получил рейтинг PG-13. Слоган — «Нечто нас нашло» (англ. Some Thing Has Found Us). В 2016 году на экраны вышел «Кловерфилд, 10», ставший, по словам Абрамса, «духовным наследником» оригинального фильма.
