CAD（キャド、英: computer-aided design）は、コンピュータ支援設計とも訳され、コンピュータを用いて設計をすること、あるいはコンピュータによる設計支援ツールのこと（CADシステム）。人の手によって行われていた設計作業をコンピュータによって支援し、効率を高めるという目的からきた言葉である。 CADを「コンピュータを用いた製図（システム）」と解する場合は「英: computer-assisted/aided drafting」、「英: computer-assisted/aided drawing」を指し、同義として扱われることもある。 設計対象や目的によりCADD（）、CAID（）、CAAD（）などと区分される場合もある。 日本での定義としてはJIS B3401に記載があり、「製品の形状、その他の属性データからなるモデルを、コンピュータの内部に作成し解析・処理することによって進める設計」となっている。 3次元の作業の場合でも、数値の精密さの必要がないコンピュータゲームや映画やアニメーションなどの制作関係の事柄については「3DCG」を参照
