Dave Cousins (born David Joseph Cousins in Hounslow, Middlesex, on 7 January 1945; died 13 July 2025) was an English musician remembered as the leader, singer and most active songwriter of Strawbs since 1967. He also performed and recorded as the much-in-demand acoustic duo Dave Cousins & Brian Willoughby (with Strawbs guitarist Brian Willoughby) and regularly toured with Acoustic Strawbs. Cousins was a founding member of Strawbs, which started out as the Strawberry Hill Boys playing bluegras
