難聴（なんちょう、英語: hearing impairment）とは、聴覚が低下した状態のこと。耳科学的には、聴覚の諸機能の感度や精度が若年健聴者、即ち、耳科学的に正常な18歳から30歳までの多数の評定者の聴覚閾（域）値の最頻値 (0dB HL) よりも劣っている事とされる。そのレベルは30dB HLとされている。この測定は、外からの騒音を遮断できる室、聴力検査の場合30ホン以下の騒音レベルであるで測定する。この際に用いられる指標は、音響学とは違っている。医学的には聴力レベル（Hearing-Level）であり、で測定される音響学での音圧レベル（Sound-Pressure-Level）最小可聴値とは異なる。また難聴は、ときに耳疾患（例えば急性中耳炎）や流行性耳下腺炎に起因する症状の一つである場合がある。更に、ブロモバレリル尿素を含有する鎮痛剤の副作用によっても発症する事がある。
