A three-time MTV Europe Music Award winner, she is one of the most-awarded Polish music artists. She has received multiple certifications from the Polish Society of the Phonographic Industry for the sales of her albums and singles in Poland. Her best known songs include "Nie daj się", "Dżaga", "Szansa", "Znak pokoju", "2 bajki", "Melodia ta" and "Nim zajdzie słońce", a collaboration with Smolasty, which topped the Polish charts and achieved three-time diamond sales in the country.

Doda rose to fame as a member of the Polish rock band Virgin, with whom she released four studio albums: Virgin (2002), Bimbo (2004), Ficca (2005) and Choni (2016). The group disbanded in 2006, briefly reuniting in 2016. Doda embarked on a solo career, releasing four studio albums: Diamond Bitch (2007), 7 pokus głównych (2011), Dorota (2019) and Aquaria (2022).
