Edwin Arlington Robinson was an American poet born om December 22, 1869.He grew up in Gardiner, Maine. He attended Harvard University for 2 years as a special student. Some of his first poems were published in the Harvard Advocate. He continued to write poetry, which was little noticed, until Theodore Roosevelt praised some of his pieces in a news article. Roosevelt then offered a sinecure at a U.S Customs House. Robinson accepted the position and filled it from 1905 to 1910. <a href="https://
