Erno "Emppu" Matti Juhani Vuorinen was born on the 24th of June in Kerava, Finland. He started to play guitar at the age of 12 as a private study. Emppu is often referred to as "The short one" when amongst Nightwish members, as well at his other projects, standing at only 5'5" (165cm) in height.
