De Engganorat (Rattus enganus) is een rat die voorkomt op Enggano, een eiland ten zuidwesten van Sumatra. Er is slechts één exemplaar bekend. Het is onduidelijk aan welke soort binnen Rattus deze soort verwant is en of hij zelfs maar tot Rattus behoort. Mogelijk is hij verwant aan Rattus macleari uit Christmas-eiland en Rattus xanthurus uit Celebes.[2] De Engganorat is een vrij grote rat, met een zachte vacht en lange voelharen. De rug is grijsbruin, de buik lichtgrijs. De lange staart is bruin van kleur.
