แอร์วีน ชเรอดิงเงอร์

Erwin Rudolf Josef Alexander Schrödinger was an Austrian-German physicist and university teacher born in Vienna on 12 August 1887. He worked in theoretical physics and authored non-fiction works such as *On Modern Physics*, *Geist und Materie*, and *Orientierung im Weltall*. He was educated at the University of Vienna, the University of Oxford, and the Akademisches Gymnasium. His doctoral advisors were Friedrich Hasenöhrl and Franz S. Exner.

Schrödinger held positions at the University of Vienna, University of Stuttgart, Friedrich Schiller University Jena, and University of Zurich. He was a member of the Royal Society, the German Academy of Sciences at Berlin, the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities, and the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. He received the Nobel Prize in Physics, the Matteucci Medal, the Max Planck Medal, and the Erwin Schrödinger Prize. He died of tuberculosis in Vienna on 4 January 1961 and is buried in Alpbach.
