Durst was born in Jacksonville Florida where he grew up with his mother and step-dad - a local police officer. Durst joined the Navy at the early stage of his life where he found it difficult to cope with the rules there. He left the Navy to become a tatoo artist where he slummed life until he met KoRn who were on tour at the time.
