Frederik Magle (born April 17, 1977) is a Danish composer and concert organist. He attended The Royal Conservatory of Music and studied composition and organ, but can be considered mostly self-taught in regard to composition. He is mainly known for his works for the Danish Royal Family, which include music composed for the christening of Prince Nikolai in 1999, and a symphonic poem Cantabile, based on texts by Prince Henrik of Denmark (the Prince Consort) which was first performed in 2004 by the
