Giovan Leonardo Primavera (1540/45 - after 1585) was an Italian composer of the Renaissanceø. By 1560 Primavera served as a musician in the family of Carlo Gesualdo. The last known reference to him comes in 1585 with the publication of his final book of madrigals. His most famous piece was a madrigal, Nasce la gioja mia which first appeared in 1565 and later served as the theme for Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina's Missa 'Nasce la gioja mia', published in 1590. <a href="https://www.last.fm/mu
