Hadronyche is a genus of venomous Australian funnel-web spiders that was first described by L. Koch in 1873. Originally placed with the curtain web spiders, it was moved to the Hexathelidae in 1980, then to the Atracidae in 2018.

Hadronyche es un género de arañas migalomorfas de la familia Hexathelidae. Se encuentra en Australia. Algunas especies tienen un veneno mortal para los humanos, muy similar al de su pariente Atrax robustus, con la cual también han compartido el nombre común "Araña de tela de embudo australiana". Algunas otras especies de este género como H. modesta no son mortales para humanos y sólo producen efectos leves. La picadura puede ser tratada efectivamente con el mismo antiveneno usado para Atrax robustus, gracias al cual no se han vuelto a registrar muertes por mordeduras de estas arañas desde su introducción. Hadronyche is a genus of venomous Australian funnel-web spiders that was first described by L. Koch in 1873. Originally placed with the curtain web spiders, it was moved to the Hexathelidae in 1980, then to the Atracidae in 2018.

== Description == Their size varies significantly, measuring from 1 to 5 cm. Most species in this genus, as most Mygalomorphae, have a glossy black or brown carapace. They have a very long life span for spiders, having been known to live for up to 20 years.
