Hălchiu (; ) is a commune in Brașov County, Transylvania, Romania. It is composed of two villages, Hălchiu and Satu Nou (Neudorf bei Hopfenseifen; Barcaújfalu).

==Geography== The commune is located in the east-central part of the county, in the northern part of the Burzenland historical region. It lies north of the county seat, Brașov, and belongs to the Brașov metropolitan area.
