Havlíčkův Brod ( Czech pronunciation: [ˈɦavliːtʃkuːv ˈbrot], until 1945 Německý Brod; German: Deutschbrod) is a town in Havlíčkův Brod District in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 24,000 inhabitants. It is located on the Sázava River in the Upper Sázava Hills. The town is a road and railway hub and has a tradition in the textile industry.
Havlíčkův Brod was founded in the mid-13th century. The historic town centre is well preserved and is protected as an urban monument zone. The most valuable buildings, protected as national cultural monuments, are the Old Town Hall and the Štáfl Cottage.
