Henri Duparc (Eugène Marie Henri Fouques Duparc) (January 21, 1848 – February 12, 1933) was a French composer of the late Romantic period. Duparc was born in Paris. He studied piano with César Franck at the Jesuit College in the Vaugirard district and became one of his first composition pupils. Following military service in the Franco-Prussian War, he married Ellen MacSwinney, from Scotland, on November 9, 1871. Henri Duparc, nacido como Eugène Marie Henri Fouques Duparc (París, 21 de enero de 1848-Mont-de-Marsan, 12 de febrero de 1933), fue un compositor francés, discípulo de César Franck. Henri Duparc tenía treinta y ocho años cuando la enfermedad nerviosa de la que era atendido desde hacía años, le impidió definitivamente componer. A pesar de haber destruido la mayoría de sus composiciones, las que quedan son grandiosas. De una gran factura, sensibles y expresivas, sus 17 mélodies han bastado para hacer de él un compositor de excepción, uno de los mejores melodistas franceses.
