Huey P. Newton (February 17, 1942 – August 22, 1989) was an African-American revolutionary and political activist, who co-founded the Black Panther Party in the 1960s. Influenced by the works of Mao Zedong and Malcolm X, he ideologically identified with Marxism-Leninism and advocated for internationalist solidarity among world humanity.
