Hülya Avşar (born 10 October 1963 in Edremit, Balıkesir) is a famous Turkish actress, talk host, and pop folk singer. Avşar was born to Kurdish and Turkish parents. She graduated from Ankara Cumhuriyet Lisesi and started swimming professionally for DSI. In 1982, she and her family moved to Istanbul.
