Inhapi é um município brasileiro do estado de Alagoas. O topônimo do município é originário da língua geral baseada no tupi antigo e significaria “buraco na pedra” ou “água sobre pedra“, expressão utilizada pelos indígenas da região quando se referiam aos lajedos que juntavam água pluviais nas áreas mais baixas na região que é conhecida na actualidade como Lagoa Inhapi.
