Accadde il 20 luglio (Es geschah am 20. Juli) è un film del 1955 diretto da Georg Wilhelm Pabst, il primo ad occuparsi del fallito attentato del 20 luglio 1944 ai danni di Adolf Hitler guidato dal colonnello Claus von Stauffenberg. L'uscita del film seguì di poche settimane quella di L'ultimo atto, sempre diretto da Pabst e incentrato sugli ultimi giorni di Hitler all'interno del Führerbunker. L'attore interpretò la parte di Joseph Goebbels in entrambi i film, mentre rivestì il ruolo del generale Friedrich Olbricht in Accadde il 20 luglio e quello del generale Wilhelm Burgdorf in L'ultimo atto.
