Carlos Eduardo López Avila (born September 19, 1973 in London, United Kingdom), better known under his stage name Jeremías, is a British-Venezuelan singer-songwriter of Venezuelan parents. He moved to Venezuela at the age of 2, although he still maintains a British passport. Encouraged musically from an early age, he began writing songs at age 8, and at age 11 took the name Jeremías. == Biography == Jeremías was born in London, where his parents were studying, and moved with his family to Venezuela when he was just two-years-old. He grew up moving around some of the country's biggest cities, including Caracas, Maracay, and Puerto Ordaz. At 7, Jeremias started collecting music, while learning to play the guitar.
