Akira Yamanaka (山中明 Yamanaka Akira, September 2, 1946 – August 7, 2011), better known as Joe Yamanaka, was a Japanese singer, known both for his work with Flower Travellin' Band and as a solo musician. He was also an actor and appeared in many movies, such as Takashi Miike's Deadly Outlaw: Rekka and the 1989 version of Zatoichi. ジョー 山中（ジョー やまなか、1946年9月2日 - 2011年8月7日）は、日本のミュージシャン・俳優・プロボクサー。神奈川県横浜市出身。 本名は山中 明（やまなか あきら）。プロボクサー時代のリングネームは城 アキラ。芸名のジョーは親交のあった画家・城景都がロックバンド活動をしていた頃に、その名前を気に入り、自ら「城」と付けたことに由来。 3オクターヴの声の持ち主。ライブ活動を中心に、映画・テレビドラマへ出演するなど、幅広い活動を行っていた。
