Johann Burchard Freyenstein (born 18 April 1671 in Weissenfels, † April 1, 1718 in Dresden) was a German jurist and church hymn writer. His father was Samuel Frey Adam Stein, vice chancellor of Duke August of Saxony, school inspector of the grmmar school of Weißenfels, and member of the "Fruchtbringenden Gesellschaft“ (auch „Palmenorden“ genannt).
